1.   OVERALL

GEVEY Ultra S comes with a GEVEY setup sim. After a quick installation, we can program the GEVEY sim to match any version of iPhone 4S without an original carrier sim and free to use any carrier sim you like.

Remark: We need to activate the iPhone 4S first before use a GEVEY turbo sim.

GEVEY Ultra S is default set to AT&T version which means it could only use for an locked AT&T iPhone 4S. We need to use the setup sim to set it to the carrier version that match your iPhone 4S carrier version. To enter a setup mode, just simplely insert GEVEY setup SIM and GEVEY turbo sim together into the iPhone 4S and you will see a window of listing of carrier names.

If you can see your iPhone carrier name on the list, just click it and eject the SIM tray quickly to finish the setup. Now the GEVEY turbo SIM has been set to the chosen Carrier version and free to use any carrier SIM.

(Japan KDDI au iPhone 4S is special, it is required to do this step to finish unlocking.)

If you can NOT see your iPhone carrier name on the list and you lucky to have the carrier SIM, then do NOT click any carrier name on the list. Just eject the SIM tray and let the GEVEY turbo SIM to stay at a learning mode. Insert the carrier SIM with GEVEY turbo sim together into the iPhone and then the GEVEY will load the SIM will load the Carrier info and set it to it.

If you can NOT see your iPhone carrier name on the list and you do NOT have the Carrier SIM, then you need to click ‘other Carrier’ and enter the Carrier code. (go to www.gevey.com to find the Carrier code)

You will see the following screen shot if the GEVEY SIM has been programmed successfully. Please finish the above steps within 10 seconds, otherwise we will have to eject and insert again.

We suggest you to insert the SIM you wish to use with GEVEY sim together into your iPhone and restart the iPhone. ( optional ) You will see the following screen shot when your iPhone unlocked successfully by GEVEY Ultra S.

2.   If you have an US AT&T iPhone 4S:

Just insert any SIM you wish to use with GEVEY sim without doing any setup, and then you will see the following screen shot. (Doesn’t matter to click either ‘cancel’ and ‘accept’)

3.   If you have an Japan KDDI au iPhone 4S:

Insert GEVEY SIM and GEVEY SETUP SIM together into the iPhone and you will see the following

Then, click ‘JP KDDI au’ and you will see the following (please finish within 10 sec)

Then use any SIM you wish to use with GEVEY into the iPhone, you will see the followings,

Insert GEVEY SIM and GEVEY SETUP SIM together into the iPhone 4S, you will see the followings,

Do not click any carrier name, just eject your SIM tray and insert GEVEY SIM and the original SIM together into the iPhone, and your GEVEY SIM will be programmed to the Carrier version. You can free to use any Carrier SIM now.

Insert GEVEY SIM and GEVEY SETUP SIM together into the iPhone and you will see the following screen shot,

Go to gevey.com and find the Carrier code, enter it in the window and click send to finish. Then you will see the followings,

6. APN setting

Connect your iPhone to WIFI, go to www.gevey.com/apn , check with you carrier and get the APN info and enter it. Click ‘submit’ to download the setting into your iPhone. (This is one time setup only unless you change your carrier.)

7. FAQ

Q:Why waiting too long to get signal bar up after seeing an unlock successful reminding window?

A:The first time unlocking needs to load many information, second time will be very fast to finish.

Q: setup window does not show up when insert with GEVEY SETUP SIM

A: Normally it takes about 5 seconds to show up. If not, just restart to solve.

Q: Setup windows shows again

A: Because the first time you were too slow. Just do it again and eject it quickly. (Please finish it within 10 seconds.)

Q: entering activating screen when doing setup

A: Because you were to slow, just simply eject it and insert again to try one more time.

Q: entering activating screen after a setup

A: Please make sure you have entered a correct carrier code, please do it over again and make sure finish it within 10 seconds.

Q: No unlock successful reminding window and showing ‘ No Service’

Restart your iPhone to solve.

Q: Stay at ‘No Service’ after reminding unlock successful.

A: go to ‘setting’ – ‘carrier’, turn off ‘auto carrier’, choose carrier manually. If not solved, please restart your iPhone.

For unlocking  iPhone4 4.1(baseband 02.10.04), iPhone4 4.2.1(baseband 03.10.01) and newer version, please wait for GEVEY turbo sim to be released.
